Upholstery sectional cleaned by Sanitize 4 Serenity

It's true, we all release body oil…

Professional upholstery cleaning can significantly extend the life of your fabrics, improving their resiliency and keeping colors rich and vibrant. When you see soil on the arms of chairs or sofas it's our body oils. Acting fast with an upholstery cleaning is best practice because the longer the wait the harder to remove soil.

Can't do with out them…

We know our furniture is one of those things that gets used and almost forgotten. We also know that our body releases oils, that can build up over time. That's why it's important to keep an eye out for those changes because your furniture is one of your biggest investments in your home. When the correct care is provided, upholstered furnishings will last for many years.

Should you care?

Care for your furniture is a top priority. Inspecting your furniture is one of the first things we will need to do once we arrive. It gives us a better chance of explaining what your concerns are (if any) and how best to plan out our cleaning method. Drop cloths are placed on your hardwood floors to protect them as we clean. Small furniture like end tables is moved during our cleaning process to avoid accidents, and it gives us adequate space to work.

We use an air mover at times to help with the drying time while on location. Cleaning upholstery comes down to a few things: what's your fabric made of and which is the best cleaning method that should most effectively be taken to remove as much soil as possible; while preserving color and texture.

Most customers never move their upholstered furniture over the years, and this gives us an opportunity to inspect for preexisting challenges (if any). Like color loss, sun fading, damage to any material such as tears, pet damage, rips, wear patterns, watermark rings, other marks, and stains, etc. that can help you, and I understand what's the best approach we can and should take.

Method of Upholstery Cleaning

There are a number of methods used to effectively clean upholstery. Wet cleaning is the most wildly used way of cleaning upholstery. Spray pre-conditioner on heavy soil or spotted areas after our inspection. While some fabrics can be wet-cleaned safely without difficulty, others cannot.

Dry cleaning, among other methods like shampooing, etc., is required cleaning for other materials. We use many different tools to safely and effectively clean your upholstery; using anything from extraction machines, hand cleaning, a delicate brush, to a groomer, cleaning cloths to help return your upholstery to a like new condition.

Cleaning codes
Most upholstered furniture has small cleaning symbols in hidden places. Some will have a "W" symbol for wet clean only, some an "S” symbol for dry clean only, and some will have both "W/S” or “S/W” symbols meaning it can take both types of cleaning methods.
